Helping our Planet
This week saw Stop Food Waste Day and our catering department marked the day by inspiring us with a wonderful leftovers lunch. We were delighted to learn that our food waste has dropped over the past few months, which is great news. At the youngest end of the school, our Earth Cubs also met this week to discuss more about reducing our food waste.
Take a look at the film our Year 6 Eco Warriors made to highlight the changes that we have made.
We are always delighted to hear that our Eco values are shared outside of school. This week Arabella W shared how clothes can be repurposed, in her sewing class she made herself a stylish new skirt from a pair of jeans and a pretty summer skirt. Well done Arabella!
We were also proud to hear that Oliver E and brother Theo have the planet’s future in mind and did their bit for climate protest last weekend. They made a sign to show as they marched around Parliament Square on Earth Day as part of Extinction Rebellion’s Big One. Well done boys for using your voice!
