The sun shone brightly on Wednesday afternoon, as three teams from Years 5 and 6 joined forces to play against Russell House. The A team fielded first and everyone should be proud of their bowling efforts; particular highlights go to Olivia B for her wicket maiden, Khloe G with a wicket first ball and Ella D for super consistency. Russell House managed to find the boundary twice and were limited to single runs. Caterham had to chase 250 which was well within their reach. After the opening two pairs, the scores were level; Caterham started to find the gaps and boundaries to edge away. Strong batting from Eden B gave Caterham a comfortable lead into the last over and Caterham secured the win. Well done everyone. The B team picked up a scattering of extra runs this week, a few boundaries, and wickets from Genevieve and Diya to finish on top. In the C team, good bowling from Alysa P and a wicket from Arabella but a few too many wide balls wasn’t enough to keep Russell House at bay. Although, Caterham picked up quite a few singles, Russell House took 4 wickets and the win on this occasion. Well done everyone, it’s early in the season and plenty more to play for. Next week, the U10s play host to Lingfield.
