DOME Exploration into Climate Change
Year 4 recently embarked on an exciting journey as they delved into the world of climate change through an immersive experience in our own planetarium (DOME). The DOME is an inflatable, immersive cinematic experience, and became the gateway to their exploration of the impact of climate change. As the children entered the DOME, they were met with a display of sights and sounds that transported them to different corners of our planet. The immersive nature of the experience allowed Year 4 to witness the beauty of Earth, its diverse ecosystems, and the delicate balance that sustains life.
The focus of this journey was to deepen the children’s understanding of climate change. From the melting polar ice caps to the challenges faced by wildlife in changing environments, the children were immersed in a world that encouraged reflection and discussion. The DOME experience also encouraged interactive learning. The children actively participated in discussions, asked questions, and shared their thoughts on how they can contribute to a more sustainable future.
