Bows to Strings for Year 2 Musicians
During their summer term music lessons, Year 2 have been learning to play the violin and viola with Mr Bayley. They have been doing brilliantly and this week they took the bows out of their cases and learnt to use them!
Watch this space as during the Autumn term of Year 3 we will be testing their skills on the toots (plastic flutes), cornets (mini trumpets) and trombones. We hope that many of them will then decide to take up lessons on an orchestral instrument at school.
We would encourage children to try out a variety of musical instruments before choosing which to play and once they are certain of their choice, they can apply for individual lessons here:
