Science and Tech in Local Primaries

As part of the Edge curriculum, our Lower Sixth Form pupils have delivered engaging science and technology lessons to local primary schools across the East Surrey Learning Partnership. The sessions have made great use of resources from Caterham’s ESLP Lending Library which is supported by charitable donations made by our families and alumni to the Partnership Programme.

We recently completed the first three sessions with Year 4 pupils from Furzefield Primary, who participated in a range of exciting activities. They explored the physics of motion with a ‘Pendulums and Parachutes’ lesson, built lunar robots using Lego, and experienced our inflatable planetarium. Additionally, the pupils learned coding with Sphero robots, navigating mazes designed by our Sixth Formers. Both the primary pupils and our Lower Sixth students gained valuable new skills and insights, making the experience a rewarding one for all involved.

Thank you to our pupils, staff and our Partnership Programme supporters who make this valuable work possible.
