Mental Maths at its Best!

Year 5 and 6 were first up in this year’s ‘Maths Bee’! With the help of times table practise with England Rocks, it was time to put their multiplication knowledge to the test. Preliminary rounds were completed in class (and it was wonderful to see so many children in each class putting themselves forward) and it was time for the final contest – two children from each Year 5 and 6 class were stood at the front of the hall, ready for the challenge. A fantastic showing from all eight children, but it was left to Kiera (5M) and Abdullah (5M) to battle it out showing some outstanding mental maths skills…and it was Abdullah who emerged victorious, adding to his England Rocks crown. Well done!
