1B have been very busy this week. They have been building on their adding and subtracting skills in maths, with excellent collaboration and concentration. All the children love time in the reading corner, so they have enjoyed some reading together time, putting their phonics and reading strategies into practice. Then, in global, the children had to discuss the question ‘Can humans fly?’ with some children deciding that they can’t because they don’t have wings and others arguing that they can fly in aeroplanes. We then started learning about the invention of the hot air balloon and Ms Brown was wowed by Noah who explained to the class that the balloon rises because hot air is lighter than cold air. The children have now started to make their own 3D balloon and basket!
