Sixth Form Psychology Students Visit
On Thursday, Upper Sixth Form Psychology students from our senior school visited Year 1 and Year 3 pupils to conduct observations and see first-hand Piaget’s stages of cognitive development. Pupils performed a range of tasks testing children’s ability to conserve (understand that mass/volume/number stays the same even if the appearance changes) and egocentrism (ability to understand another’s point of view).
It was certainly a fun afternoon for our Prep School children and a real opportunity for the Upper Sixth Form to see psychological theory come to life! The students will now apply their understanding of inferential statistics to analyse their data and present their findings in the form of a psychological report.
