Year 6 Fire Extinguishers
Year 6 scientists have been looking at physical and chemical reactions in more detail. They have used their knowledge of the reaction between vinegar and baking soda to create a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher in a balloon. As the gas is released it removes the oxygen from the fire triangle putting out the flame of the candle. Check out process below.
