A Level Psychologists Visit Prep as part of Piaget studies

On Thursday, Upper Sixth Psychology pupils had the chance to visit Year 1 and Year 3 classes here at Prep for a hands-on experience observing Piaget’s stages of cognitive development. They conducted various experiments to test the children’s ability to grasp concepts like conservation (the idea that mass, volume, or number remains constant despite changes in appearance) and egocentrism (understanding others’ perspectives). It was an enjoyable and engaging session for our pupils, and an invaluable opportunity for the Upper Sixth psychologists to see key psychological theories from their Cognition and Development lessons in action. They will now use inferential statistics to analyse their findings and compile their results in a formal psychological report.
