Black History Month

Prep school were treated to a wonderful assembly about Black History Month, presented by Mr McLean, Edwin and Jed.  We learned about why Black History Month is so important and we heard the stories of inspirational Black sportspeople, musicians, philanthropists and many more.  The theme of this year’s Black History Month is to ‘reclaim the narrative’ and we discussed the importance of us all playing a role in ensuring we have a fair and inclusive community here at school as well as in other parts of our lives.  We are very grateful to Alex McLean from the school’s pastoral team and senior school pupils Edwin and Jed for coming to see us.  We hope to see much more of them as the year progresses.
