Caterham Connected Book Club
The Caterham Connected Book Club has been active since November 2017, so we are only a few reads away from our 5th Anniversary! We meet monthly on Friday mornings 9.00am to 10.30am in Caterham School, usually in the Leathem or the Bonarjee Room at the senior school.
We have a ‘CC Book Club’ group on Classlist, please join it for further updates.
We are now looking to start an Evening Book Club for those that can’t make the Friday morning club. We would be reading the same books and hope to enjoy some book related outings all together. Please get in touch with us at [email protected] if you would be interested in joining so that we can look at the best evening and time!
These are the books selected for the rest of the year:
On Friday 17 June we will be discussing ‘Still Life’ by Sarah Winman
In July/August (date and venue to be decided) we will be discussing ‘The Island of Missing Trees’ by Elif Shafak
On Friday 16 September we will be discussing ‘Midnight’s Children’ by Salman Rushdie
On Friday 14 October we will be discussing ‘The Colour Purple’ by Alice Walker
On Friday 11 November (Our 5th Anniversary meeting!) we will be discussing ‘The English Patient’ by Michael Ondaatje
