Hockey Round Up
It has been a super week of hockey for Years 3-6, as they played a block fixture against Reigate St.Mary’s. The U8s started the week hosting a round robin of mini games as they continue to work on fundamental ball carrying and passing skills. The U10A team looked strong from the start, as they worked hard to get the ball out of defence with super linked passes to pressure the Reigate ‘D.’ Great team-play moving the ball down the wing and timely passes led to an onslaught of four goals. Reigate pulled one back, but it was a fantastic win for Caterham. The B’s followed on and were up against a strong Reigate squad, but they dug in well with some solid defending, particularly from Charlotte B and Lily-May A. Again, strong carriers down the wing and super turning with the ball from Cecilia H and Ellie H, led to a Caterham goal. Arrietty T was busy in the D and was unlucky not to convert even more goals. It was a great team effort by both squads-well done. Next week, there are matches for U9, U10 and U11s- let’s keep up the good work.
