HOUSE DEBATING COMPETITION 2022
Exciting developments this week in the Annual House Debating Competition. The final round took place where teams were required to propose a new law which would improve the lives of children in the UK. The opposing team then had the opportunity to challenge this law and show why their law would be a better option. There was a high level of debate, with particularly strong performances from Foxburrow 1 (Aggie & Ella), Foxburrow 3 (Tom, Max & Adam) and Pilgrims 5 (Maya, Mia and Neethan). The scores from all three rounds were collated with the following results:
FINALISTS: Foxburrow 1 (Aggie & Ella) and Pilgrims 1 (Shri, Ishani & Beth)
RUNNERS-UP: Foxburrow 4 (Jack, Sara & Ishaani) and Pilgrims 3 (Amaya & Annabel H)
The Finalists will take part in a Championship Debate on the last day of term with the motion: ‘This House believes that Gaming is good for you’.
The winning house, based on Rounds 1, 2 & 3 is……….Foxburrow!!
