HOUSE DEBATING FINAL 2021
Just before the half term break, we saw the keenly awaited House Debating Final where Foxburrow A took on Viewpoint A in what turned out to be an incredibly tight final. The motion was, ‘This House believes that violent protests can never be justified’. Viewpoint, arguing for the motion, made an impressive use of historical evidence within their speech, which was delivered with passion and enthusiasm. Foxburrow were equally eloquent in response and made effective use of examples including the Suffragette and Black Lives Matter movements. Although voting was close, Foxburrow emerged victorious in both the audience and Judge’s votes. Many congratulations to Zoe, Svara and Sophie on their achievement and to Tara, Aylena and Holly who were very impressive runners-up.
