Learning More About Diwali

Prep children had the chance to visit the senior school’s display about Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights. The display included decorations, information about the festival’s meaning and traditions, and examples of Diwali artwork.  Children learned about the significance of Diwali, such as the importance of light overcoming darkness, and had the chance to sample some sugar crystals. This visit helped the children learn more about the festival and its cultural importance in a hands-on way.
