Practice Makes Perfect!
It has certainly been fun in Year 2 recently. After making jelly and chocolate crispy cakes last week, we have carried on thinking about our instruction writing by making (and then eating) delicious jam sandwiches. Our cooking skills are really improving as well as our more detailed instructions, although spreading hard butter will take some more practise!
In Outdoor Learning, we found out which trees would have been best for Robin Hood to make a bow and arrow, before watching Mr Wilkinson construct one from scratch. Each of us then had a turn at using it, learning the correct techniques for the most direct shot. It is harder than you think!’
We have also made some beautiful snowflakes, practising our cutting skills, before glittering them to give a super sparkle. Our display looks very wintery indeed.
