Prep String Quartet Take Part in Masterclass Ahead of Pro Corda
Last Friday, our wonderfully talented String Quartet (Eugenia, Marble, Cecilia and Kiera) took part in a masterclass day at the senior school, given by Jocelyn Freeman. Jocelyn is a professional pianist, conductor, curator end educator. She coached solo pianists, woodwind, brass and string players, as well as our senior school piano trios and string quartet. The String Quartet are this year entering the prestigious Pro Corda national schools chamber music competition, so Jocelyn’s tutelage was invaluable in preparing them for this event. The masterclass focused on creating an engaging opening to pupils’ pieces.
Congratulations to the girls on taking part in such a fantastic event.
