Rain Doesn’t Stop Play at Cricket Fixtures
Just managing to escape the rain on Wednesday afternoon, we were delighted to welcome three teams from Russell House for some mixed Year 5/6 matches. The performances were fantastic across the board, with all teams eagerly implementing the coaches’ feedback. They focused on improving communication in the field and running between wickets.
From the scoresheet, some individual highlights included: In the ‘A’ team, Eden B was the top batter with 24 runs, including four boundaries, while Johanna C restricted the opposition batters to -7 off her 8 balls. In the ‘B’ match, a dynamic partnership between Tinu B and Ayla P resulted in 41 runs, marked by committed running and excellent communication. Ayla P and Marble C were precise with their bowling, taking wickets and securing a number of dot balls. In the ‘C’ team, Calise and Sai bowled particularly well, with Martha J and Calise forming the top batting partnership, amassing 19 runs.
Well done to everyone who played. Next week, we look forward to hosting Lingfield for the U10A and B matches, while the U11s will play an internal match.
Following a cancellation by Russell House for our U9s, the girls enjoyed a coaching session and an internal match.
