Reading Buddies Links Senior to Prep

Monday saw the successful launch of an exciting new reading initiative between First Year pupils at the Senior School and Year 6 at Prep. Using Teams and One Note, the First Year pupils were paired with Year 6 pupils to discuss different articles in The Week Junior followed by a chat about books they enjoy reading. The First Year pupils will then use this chat to recommend specific books to the Year 6 pupils who will then choose a book to read and chat about in their next session after half term. As well as promoting wider reading and engagement in current affairs, this will also give the Year 6 pupils the added bonus of having a buddy that they recognise when they move to the Senior School next term.
