Reception Become Senses Detectives!

This week, our Reception children have been actively exploring their five senses through a range of exciting activities. The classrooms have been buzzing with energy and filled with intriguing smells and textures!

The children loved cutting and mashing up various herbs, impressing the adults with how many they could recognise from meals at home. They explored different textures by playing with orbeez in the water tray, measuring pasta and lentils, discovering insects hidden in cooked spaghetti and moulding perfumed playdough. They also enjoyed experimenting with the sounds of different musical instruments.
