Reception Sparkles

This week, Reception have been enthusiastically celebrating both Diwali and Bonfire Night, engaging in a range of creative and hands-on activities. The children have made beautiful rangoli artwork, exploring patterns and colours to reflect the traditional designs. They moulded and decorated their own clay diyas, which they were excited to take home and share with their families. As part of the Diwali celebrations, they also tried their hand at creating intricate mendhi patterns on paper, developing their fine motor skills and artistic flair.

To mark Bonfire Night, Reception created vibrant fireworks pictures, experimenting with different materials and techniques to capture the excitement and sparkle of the night sky. The classrooms have been buzzing with the joy of these two celebrations, and the children have had a wonderful time learning about different cultural traditions while getting creative.
