Resilient Runners Take Top Spots in Cross Country Fixture

On a very cold Tuesday afternoon our cross country ventured up to Oakhyrst Grange for their invitational cross country meet.  Each year group was made up of two girls and two boys.  All the children ran remarkably well on a very boggy, undulating and testing course not for the feint hearted.  Some of the fantastic standout performances were Rafe who came second in the Year 3 boys,  Lucy who came third in the Year 3 girls race, Tahlia who came second in the Year 5 race and Johanna and Ella who came second and third respectively in the Year 6 girls race.  The meet ended with a phenomenal performance by Benji who led the Year 6 boys race from start to finish to claim victory with a perfect example of cross country running.  Well done to the girls who also claimed the overall team prize.  Congratulations to all our runners who gave 100% in such testing conditions.
