Strong Performance at IAPS Swim Qualifiers

At the end of last week our Prep swimmers attended the IAPS qualifiers at Eastbourne College. There were fantastic performances all round from our team against strong opponents from Brighton College, St Andrews Prep and Handcross Park School, showing incredible improvements from last year. Everyone swam strongly and achieved superb times with some stand out performances from Anna G and Amir M, who would have achieved a Surrey County qualifying time – Anna in 50m Backstroke and Amir in the 50m freestyle. Johanna swam a fantastic 50m Breaststroke, winning within a fingertip touch. Our Year 6 girls also swam a brilliant Freestyle relay winning by six seconds ahead of the field. We are currently awaiting full results and hope that some of our team will get through to the National Finals in June taking place at the London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford.
