The Romans have arrived!
Year 3 spent Thursday immersing themselves in Roman life. They made bread, biscuits and cakes to Roman recipes, they designed menus and learned about Roman Numerals, and they were able to use the school’s new Now Press Play equipment for an immersive drama experience. They spent the afternoon having a banquet of dormice and peacocks (!), but they did try figs, olives, dates, cucumber, celery and grapes along with their own baked products, and watching a Horrible History Film about Romans and Boudicca, learning about the legendary female military leader.
