Training and Fixtures Bring Some Fine Football

With glorious weather this week, the girls have had a great time on the football pitch.  The Year 3s had a training afternoon on Tuesday working on weight of passing and options, finishing with match play.   On Wednesday, Year 5 and 6 combined to play matches against Aberdour or internal games.  It was a successful afternoon with all teams working on exploiting space and passing effectively, the scorecard was in Caterham’s favour, with all teams taking the win 6-0 (A), 4-0 (B) and 4-0 (C).

The U9s rounded off the week against Lingfield, both teams dug deep against physically strong Lingfield sides with the As narrowly missing out 3-4, and despite the Bs losing 0-3, they had some super break aways but the Lingfield goalie was too quick off her line to close down any goal opportunities. Next week, the U8s and U11s face Hawthorns, U10s at Lingfield and the U9s host Micklefield.
