U11 Netballers Win IAPS Tournament Plate

On Thursday the U11 Netball team went to Kent College, Pembury for the IAPS netball tournament. With 16 schools competing, the morning started with the group matches, in which we narrowly missed out on two wins, but keeping their energy high pulled off a 5-2 win in their last game leaving them finishing third in their group. 

This took them into the Plate competition, where they played some excellent netball for the remainder of the day to reach the Plate final! The score in the final was very close, 5-5 in the last few moments of the game, if it ended in a draw, they would have to play five mins of extra time. Luckily, it was a Caterham centre pass that sealed the win – the girls worked the ball down and scored in the dying seconds of the match. 

All seven players gave it their all. Well done!
