Year 2 Prepare for the Big Bird Watch 2025

The children in Year 2 have been preparing for the RSPB Big Birdwatch. The Big Birdwatch takes place in January and February. This week the children have been in the outdoor classroom taking a closer look at our smaller feathered friends. They talked about blue tits laying 12 eggs and robins who lay six eggs. The children also noted that robins are quite tame but that they are territorial, but blue tits liked to share food at feeding tables provided in gardens. The children contributed lots of fantastic questions then enjoyed a tally chart bird hunt.
