Year 2 Reading to Reception

Some children in Year 2 were both excited and delighted to have the opportunity to read to Reception recently and to showcase their marvellous reading skills. They each took great pride in reading their favourite stories out loud, doing some fantastic, paired reading and expert collaborating, along the way. The Reception children listened intently, clearly inspired by the older pupil’s choice of books, confidence, and storytelling. It was so joyful to watch and listen to that it left everyone beaming with pride. Well done everybody! There will be lots more opportunities for more children to become involved in similar activities, if they wish, during the summer term.
