Year 5 Share Insights with Year 2
On Wednesday morning, some of our Year 5 pupils paid a visit to Year 2 to talk about life in ‘big school’ and answer any questions that the younger pupils might have.
The Q&A session was a huge success, with questions on subjects, homework, iPads, and even abseiling. The Year 5 pupils did a fantastic job of explaining what life is like in Years 3 to 6, and the Year 2 pupils were fascinated by their experiences.
One of the highlights of the session was seeing the Year 5 pupils answer questions with confidence and enthusiasm, whether they had been here for many years or had started in September. They were able to provide helpful insights and advice to the younger children and they also showed great patience and kindness in explaining some of the more complicated topics.
The visit was a wonderful opportunity for the Year 2 pupils to get a glimpse of what is to come, and for the Year 5s to reflect on their own journey and share their experiences. It was a great way for both year groups to come together and learn from each other.
