Year 6 & Year 3 Reading Buddies

Year 6 and Year 3 were so excited to be buddied up with their reading partners for the year. After being introduced to each other, the children went on a walk around the playground getting to know one another before their first weekly reading session together where the Year 6 children listen to the Year 3s read and support them with any tricky words as parents would at home. It was so lovely to see them interacting and the older children hanging onto the younger one’s every word. Mr Snow heard one pair refer to each other as, ‘Reading Buddies for life’.
